Our hickory firewood is locally sourced, processed, and kiln-dried in the northeastern United States from hickory trees. Hickory wood is a dense, hot-burning firewood, producing about 27.7 million BTUs per cord. This high heat output is comparable to oak, making it a popular choice among those seeking long-lasting, intense heat. Hickory wood has a robust, slightly sweet aroma that is perfect for adding a distinct flavor to your BBQ, smoking, or grilling. The wood's density also ensures a long burn time, making it ideal for both outdoor and indoor use. While it may be challenging for novices due to its heat intensity, hickory is highly valued by experienced pitmasters, chefs, and wood burners for its exceptional burning qualities.
