The budget everyday pick
The stuff that makes people nervous about ordering wood online is exactly what we engineered out.
Every split is kiln-dried to under 15% moisture and certified pest-free — no seasoning guesswork, no surprises in the box.
Food-safe hardwood, sourced and cut in the USA by the crew that supplies New York City kitchens. You know exactly what shows up.
Boxed in sturdy, handled cartons sized for freight — almost 2× the wood of a standard bundle, and it arrives clean and dry.
“I’d been looking for a local firewood supplier for about two years — getting it from Amazon worked in a pinch but was never efficient or cost-effective. So glad I found these guys.”
“Highly recommend these guys. I’ve had a fireplace for the last three years and it wasn’t until I found Woodbourne that getting wood was consistently easy.”
Our boxed firewood ships across the lower 48. Local customers can still order doorstep delivery on the main store.
We price our boxed wood as cheap as possible, and don’t mark up the shipping. You’ll receive your order by UPS. Within the Northeastern United States, shipping costs range from about $10 to $20. Outside that delivery zone, prices are costlier.
Yes. Every box is kiln-dried to under 15% moisture and certified pest-free, so it lights easily and burns clean and hot — no bugs, no mold, no seasoning guesswork.
16″ suits standard fireplaces and fire pits, 12″ fits smaller fireplaces, stoves and chimineas, and 8″ is built for pizza ovens and tabletop cooking.
It depends on how you’re burning. Ash is the easy-lighting, low-smoke pick for pizza ovens; hickory is the pitmaster’s choice for hot, bold BBQ smoke; oak is the all-around workhorse for fires, BBQ and pizza; cherry and apple give a sweet, food-grade smoke for over-the-fire cooking; and mixed hardwood is the versatile, best-value everyday box. The species guide above breaks down heat, burn time and best use for each.
Every box is different, but we fill them to the brim so you get the most out of your order.
Our hand-selected firewood species are chosen for their heat output, burn time, flavor, aroma, and ease to light. Our SPLITS firewood boxes will give you a few hours of burn time by the campfire — but that same box can give you a season’s worth of cooks on the barbecue.
The splits are your heat source for fires and ovens. The 3″ smoking chunks are a flavor source — you drop them on hot coals for clean BBQ smoke, not for building the fire itself.
Kiln-dried, restaurant-grade firewood — boxed up and shipped straight to your door.
